Mental Health Awareness Campaign
This intervention raises awareness about mental health issues and encourages young people to seek psychosocial support and counseling. In collaboration with other organizations, the campaign addresses stigma, enhances understanding, and improves access to mental health services. Activities include awareness sessions through meetings and media like radio program, and school-based programs to educate on mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, supporting early intervention and fostering community resilience..
Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)
This intervention promotes sexual and reproductive health rights, ensuring that individuals, especially young girls, youth, and women, have access to quality reproductive health services and information. Key topics include self-awareness, puberty, contraception, STIs, consent, healthy relationships, safe sex, pregnancy, reproduction, and sexual orientation. Through youth clubs and school programs, the initiative empowers adolescents to make informed decisions, build personal skills, and take charge of their bodies and rights.
HIV/AIDS Awareness and Care
This component educates communities on HIV prevention, testing, and treatment. Activities include workshops, peer education, and campaigns to reduce stigma, encourage safe practices, and we also support HIV/AIDS teen clubs in health centers to reduce default rates among teens and girls.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
We have championed in increasing access to WASH facilities in schools and communities. We construct/rehabilitate sanitation facilities in schools, health centers, promote good personal hygiene practices, including menstrual hygiene, hand washing, provide access to safe water through borehole drilling. This helps to reduce waterborne diseases and improving health status.
Drug and Substance Abuse Prevention
This component addresses substance abuse among youth through sports, awareness campaigns, counseling, and peer education programs. It focuses on educating young people about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse and promoting healthy coping mechanisms.
