POVERTY ALLEVIATION AND FOOD SECURITY

INSPIRE. MOTIVATE. EMPOWER

We are committed to combating poverty and enhancing food and nutrition security by empowering vulnerable communities with sustainable solutions. Our initiatives focus on promoting small-scale farming, providing training in modern agricultural techniques, and supporting income-generating activities. We support existing youth and women groups doing various businesses and by improving access to resources and fostering resilience, we aim to reduce hunger, boost household incomes, and create pathways for long-term economic stability. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all families can achieve self-reliance and thrive in food-secure communities.

Agribusiness and Agroecology

This initiative combines livestock and crop farming using sustainable practices to tackle poverty and enhance food security. By promoting permaculture and climate-smart agricultural methods, we support youth and women groups engaged in existing farming enterprises, such as pig farming, beekeeping, legume cultivation, and backyard gardening. The initiative also incorporates value addition to increase productivity and income. Our goal is to foster resilient, self-sufficient communities with improved livelihoods and sustainable food systems.

Youth Skilling Hub

The Youth Skilling Hub is dedicated to empowering young people with practical skills, knowledge, and opportunities to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial potential. Through training in vocational skills like tailoring and design, sausage making, soap making, and digital literacy, graphic designing lessons, the hub equips youth to meet market demands and build sustainable livelihoods. Apart from providing the youths and women with these skills, the organization also provides them with business management and financial literacy trainings so that they fully know how to run their businesses.

Village savings and Loan initiative for Economic Empowerment

This initiative aims to empower communities through village savings and loan (VSL) groups by providing access to financial resources and essential skills. By linking participants to formal money-lending institutions and offering financial literacy and business management training, the program promotes sustainable livelihoods and economic growth. Linking the group with money lending institutions reduce interest rates as the organization facilitates negotiations for favorable loan terms.
